I love a good long road trip. Growing up, we only traveled by car.

From May 30-31, the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation’s (CSF) Federal Relations Coordinator Taylor Schmitz attended the 2018 Partners Outdoors Conference which took place at the Department of the Interior and Department of Agriculture.

On June 13, the Senate Agriculture Committee passed the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, more commonly known as the Farm Bill, with a strong vote of 20 – 1. This bipartisan bill was introduced by Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus Members (CSC) Chairman Senator Pat Roberts (KS) and Ranking Member Senator Debbie Stabenow (MI).

Technology has rapidly changed our world over the past 20 years and online retail has been a significant and driving factor in that. Sales tax regulations have long been constrained to taxing sales of goods from companies with a physical presence within the taxing state.  The resulting dynamic, where consumers are able to avoid sales tax by purchasing goods from out-of-state online vendors, has been a boom for online retailing and a handicap for traditional retail in many areas.
