It’s been an absolutely remarkable and chaotic week. And as I write this, it’s only Wednesday.
From a very public shooting in Kansas City, where over 20 people were injured and one person died, to the closing arguments in New York for the trial focusing on the gross mismanagement and fraud at the National Rifle Association, this has been a very busy week.

Yes, it’s come and gone, another SHOT show has passed. Whether this was your first time attending or you’re a seasoned veteran, the overwhelming grandeur of SHOT Show is undoubtedly an experience that you will never forget. According to the NSSF data, it was another record-breaking year with more than 13 miles of aisles and 55,000 registered attendees.

My wife and I are working on a 1,000 piece puzzle right now and it’s probably the hardest puzzle either of us has ever attempted. Most of the puzzles I’ve done in the past are challenging, but color cues or lines and shapes give really good hints as to where the pieces go. Not so in this puzzle.

Who doesn’t love a happy ending? Don’t be quick to assume where I’m going with this topic! From the time we were children listening to fairy tales, to now as adults, watching our favorite movies or sporting events, we long for the happy ending where the hero wins out over evil, the knight slays the dragon, the lost souls are found or our team wins the game. I’m starting to get that feeling about our industry right now.
