NSSF’s Government Relations Team dedicates its time and resources to supporting legislation beneficial to our industry and fighting those bills that infringe on our rights to legally conduct business and compromise everyone’s Second Amendment rights. Team members attend legislative hearings on the federal, state and local levels year-round across the nation, keeping their finger on the pulse of those issues affecting us.

The National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW), the association representing shooting sports wholesalers, manufacturers and their trade partners, is pleased to announce that National Shooting Sports Foundation will be sponsoring the NASGW Expo Appreciation Dinner on October 20th in Grapevine, TX.

The NASGW Expo will be held on October 20th through 23rd at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Conference Center in Grapevine, Texas. The Expo is the premier event for shooting sports wholesalers and manufacturers to review current market conditions, forecast future sales, and plan for the upcoming year. In light of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the NASGW Expo will be even more crucial to the industry with the cancelation of other events earlier this year. This will also be the first opportunity for manufacturers to introduce new products to their wholesale partners and lay the groundwork for the upcoming sales cycle and beyond. It is a closed event for NASGW Members only which creates a very productive business environment for Expo attendees. I think we all agree that this year has been difficult. Though we've seen some really good sales in our industry, COVID-19 has made it very challenging to run our businesses.

To say 2019 was a turbulent year in our industry is an understatement. As all of us continued to adjust to the new normal we saw lower than average sales, consolidation in the wholesale world, and continued attacks on the 2nd Amendment around the country. During that time we've also seen turnover on the NASGW Board of directors. To bring you all up to speed, we thought we'd introduce our newest board members including a familiar face who is back from retirement.

The National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW), the association representing shooting sports wholesalers, manufacturers, and their trade partners, is pleased to announce that Kenyon Gleason, the President of NASGW, was elected by members of the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributor's (NAW) Association Executive Council (AEC) to serve as the Chairman-Elect. In this capacity Gleason will also serve on the NAW Board of Directors.

The National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW) recently announced the acquisition of CustomerLink Exchange (CLX) and the upcoming integration with their existing SCOPE data program. SCOPE CLX, powered by eComSystems, will offer retail sales data to benefit shooting sports businesses.
