Building upon the success of last year’s inaugural event, the Second Annual ASA Industry Forum provides an opportunity for executives and compliance personnel from across the industry to come together to advance our common mission for pro-suppressor advocacy. The Forum will begin with an informal reception on Tuesday evening at a location TBD near Capitol Hill. On Wednesday, we will travel as a group to Martinsburg, WV to tour the NFA Division, giving attendees an opportunity to get a first hand look at the transfer process, network with NFA examiners, and tour the ATF Reference Collection - a rare chance to see hundreds of historical firearms. Following Martinsburg, we will we will return to DC, where we will attend a rooftop reception with legislators, then head to Nationals Park for a baseball game.
On Thursday, we will gather for a roundtable discussion on the state of the suppressor industry, as well as ASA’s short and long-term strategies. Topics will include NFA modernization, commercial exportation, and state and federal legislative updates. Following lunch, we will meet with ATF Executive Leadership to foster open lines of communication and address any industry concerns. On Friday, we will meet with legislators and staff on the Hill to educate lawmakers on the importance of suppressor reform. We are also working to schedule a meeting at the White House. Time TBD.
