Well, the holidays are finally upon us and our fall season is coming to an end. I'm looking forward to spending time with my family and enjoying our own holiday traditions. The month of December is always a good time to reflect on the past year and start looking ahead to the new year.

With the election in the rearview, America’s voice has been heard; it’s time for change.  I’ve had several conversations with many of you over the past couple of weeks and there’s much to be excited about, yet skepticism and uncertainty still loom.  There’s no doubt that a Trump Administration should bring four years of stability to our industry, and a federal push for further regulation of firearms and ammunition is less likely than the constant barrage of state level legislation.  But as we are all aware, stability doesn’t always translate into sales.  The possibility of a Trump Slump 2.0 has left many of us feeling a bit uneasy.  So, how do we respond, when could this happen? If your plan has yet to be established, or you’re not having these discussions with your team currently, I would encourage you to do so because as the old saying goes, history has a way of educating ignorance.

This is where NASGW's SCOPE can really help your business as well. If you are not subscribing to SCOPE yet, I encourage you to connect with Tom Hopper, NASGW's data analyst to explore how the sales and distribution data from SCOPE can arm your business with more decision making knowledge. There are some big things happening behind the scenes with SCOPE so stay tuned in 2025 for more updates. The future is bright in regards to SCOPE and NASGW and we look forward to continuing to evolve the platform in 2025 and beyond.

For those of you who find solitude in a tree stand, duck blind, or hiking the hard woods and hillsides for a bit of adventure, I wish you the best of luck for the rest of the season.

And of course, I want to wish you all Happy Holidays. See you all in 2025.

Until next time,
