President's Message: Traveling Thoughts

As I write this I am traveling in the southeastern part of the U.S. with some personal activities and some business related things as well. First, I was able to spend time with my second son who lives in Tampa Bay, Florida. We explored some of the local cuisine and we had a chance to watch the Super Bowl together. (Nice work Chiefs!)

I was also able to finally see the place he calls home these days, a house he rents with three friends. It’s so fun to watch your kids grow up and experience “adult” things. I never dreamed of living in a big city while growing up on the farm farm in North Dakota. He can't possibly imagine growing up and living on a farm. Rather remarkable transformation in thought processes in just a generation.

Operation Choke Point was just the beginning. That Obama-era scandal featured federal regulators who used their authority to lean on the banks and payment processors they oversaw to pressure them into severing ties with legal but politically-disfavored businesses. At the time, this concept was still considered shameful and overreaching enough for the agencies involved to claim it was all a big misunderstanding and to issue “corrective” guidance once it was exposed. Annual Membership Dues Deadline Has Passed

2023 Annual dues should have been paid by the end of December 2022. If you have yet to renew your membership with NASGW, you are at risk of losing your membership. Dues must be paid by the deadline of February 28th or your membership with NASGW will lapse and you will be required to reapply. If you have questions or would like to make a payment over the phone, please contact NASGW's Member Services Director Kelly Kipping.

Deadline for 2nd Exhibitor Booth Payments is Approaching on March 1st

The second booth payment for the 2023 NASGW Expo is due by March 1st. At that time 50% of your balance will be due, with the final payment due on or before July 1^st. We want all of our exhibitors to be aware of this upcoming deadline to avoid any potential late fees. Payments can be made directly through the EXHIBITOR PORTAL or by contacting NASGW.
