Notes, Quotes, and Observations from IWA 2019

image2Our team is back from Nuremberg, Germany, and the 2019 IWA Outdoor Classics. Our booth location was great, the show was busy, and could not have gone better. In NASGW's first experience organizing this opportunity for our members, we learned so much about the process, and we are already making plans to make this even better next year. To help summarize our week in Germany, we have pulled together a few notes, quotes and observations:

  • Attention at the booth was exceptionally high. Before we even opened the booth to show visitors, other exhibitors were stopping to check it out and taking pictures.

  • "We sold more product in one and a half days of the show than we had during the full four days of any previous IWA we attended. The location was amazing, and the strong NASGW presence and professionalism kept us busy all day." ~ NASGW Exhibiting Member

  • IWA was a huge success for our exhibitors, and a number of them were so pleased with their booth traffic and performance, they’ve already re-booked their space for IWA 2020.

  • NASGW exhibitors reflected on the great partnerships that were built among the booth participants themselves, not only were they able to visit with companies about a host of issues, concerns, and challenges, they were able to work together and make introductions to each others' connections and encourage cross-promotion of other booth participants when having meetings with their international contacts.

  • image1Other NASGW members, who were already exhibiting in other areas of the show, approached us and requested the opportunity to join us next year. They indicated they really appreciated the great look of the booth, the concept of sharing meeting space and combined kitchen facilities as well as the idea that you are in a space with other like-minded companies, focused on distribution.

  • Wheels are already in motion to secure participants in next year’s space. We have room for 16 companies in our current booth configuration and based on feedback during the 2019 IWA Outdoor Classics show from existing and potential partners; we believe the space will sell out.

  • Anyone interested in joining us in the booth for 2020 should reach out to Meg Pawelski as soon as possible. Contracts for 2020 Booth space will be going out May 1st.

  • The IWA Outdoor Classic show dates in Nuremberg, Germany for 2020 are March 6-9. A small block of rooms will be secured for exhibitors who are interested

  • The NASGW team learned a lot about the way the IWA show functions, and we’re already working to implement new and better ways to promote participating companies through a social media strategy and assisting booth participants in spreading the word about their company to European distributors.

Our mission at NASGW has always been to bring shooting sports buyers and sellers together. In our first experience at IWA, it is clear there is a lot of opportunity for our organization to do just that. We are excited about the impact our involvement provided to our participating members and look forward to continuing to expand our reach in the international markets.
